2025 LAHC Alum and Supporters Social Recap
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our second annual Leadership in Affordable Housing Certificate (LAHC) Alum and AHC ELC Supporters Social. We greatly appreciate your participation and engagement during the evening.
A special thanks to attendee Shawn Huckleby (a founding board member of the Education and Leadership Center at AHC), as well as Marney Olson (current AHC board member and Housing Manager, St. Louis Park), and Natane Russell (Regional Training Director, Cushman & Wakefield) for sharing updates on their work.
As we mentioned at the event, if you havenโt already, please complete the LAHC Alumni Update Survey by Tuesday, June 24th. This survey will provide AHC with valuable information on the impact and effectiveness of the course โ details essential for both recruiting and funding efforts.
Now with five cohorts (2021-2025), LAHC events are a way to build connections and celebrate the amazing work that each of you is doing for individuals and families in need of affordable housing. As Lyn and Barbara shared at the event, each of you is a leader who can positively impact housing opportunities in both big and small ways. Every action, every encounter, every conversation, is a chance to educate, learn, and lead with empathy.
Also remember, Lyn shared at the event that all LAHC alum and current course members now will have free access to the technical trainings and continuing education courses offered by AHC. You can explore the available courses on our websiteโs Continuing Education page. Courses include:
- CHARTConnect
- First Year Projects
- New to AHC
- Preparing for Your Site Visit
- Qualifying a Household
- EUP/3 Year Tenant Protections
- Fair Housing
If you wish to attend a paid course, please write to Grace Riley, AHC Operations Manager, at grace@ahcinc.net to request complimentary registration. Certification courses, such as Tax Credit Compliance Specialist (TCCS), are excluded.
Finally, please let others know about the LAHC program. We are already accepting applications for the 2026 cohort. For more information, please visit our Leadership in Affordable Housing Certificate page.
Thanks again for all you do to increase access to affordable housing for individuals and families in communities in Minnesota and around the country.
